Malcolm is no great gardener, yet he has a strange liking for any of the ferns in his garden.
Some years ago he purchased a tree fern, a Dicksonia Antarctica, as an unloved "for sale" item at the Eden Project in Cornwall. For the last few weeks Malcolm has found himself obsessing that it woul
d recover after the hard winter. At last things are looking more positive. And then, nearby, lurking under a shrub there is the spectacle of unfolding, coiled shoots. They are so perky they somehow remind Malcolm of meerkats.
Not an issue of major importance, just a nice feeling: summer is i-coming in. Sphere: Related Content
